Studying Architecture
The Bachelor’s degree programme at the Institute of Architecture and Planning is open to approximately 100 students. The emphasis on small group study as well as lecturers’ individualised direct supervision is characteristic of the education offered at the University of Liechtenstein.

The university aspires to develop the personality, creativity and expressiveness of its students. To this end, students should be taught practical skills while boosting their critical rationality and rousing their enthusiasm for a career in architecture.

The regional identity is characterised by the interaction of people coming from the four-country block of Liechtenstein, Austria, Switzerland and Germany. Individuality, personal involvement, modernity, flexibility and cosmopolitanism are therefore integral elements.

The high international standard of the Bachelor’s degree programme is ensured by the lecturing team as well as by the constant involvement of international visiting critics during the mid-term and end-of-term studio project assessments.

Students from around the region and increasingly from other European countries and overseas appreciate the curriculum that has been specifically designed to meet international standards. They are also fond of the cosmopolitan study environment that may be found in Liechtenstein. The University of Liechtenstein is connected to a global network of more than 70 partner universities. Students as well as lecturers are given support when organising international activities and participating in exchange programmes
