In September 2010 professors and PhD candidates met at the University of Liechtenstein in Vaduz to attend the annual doctoral researchers’ forum on sustainable spatial development, the dokonara. The overarching theme of the 2010 event was Sustainable Alpine Development.
The dokonara is supported by the University of Liechtenstein, University of Kassel, University of Innsbruck and the HafenCity University Hamburg. The international forum is a three day event, giving PhD candidates the opportunity to present and discuss their work. Researchers from all universities and institutions for higher education are invited to participate in the dokonara.
The publication ‘Dimensions of Sustainable Alpine Development’ represents a collection of papers that were produced in the context of last year’s dokonara. A wide array of dissertation and research projects on sustainable spatial development are presented herein.
We would like to use today’s launch of the dokonara 2011 in Innsbruck (21. – 24. of September) to officially present this publication and make it publicly available in electronic form.
