Educational objective

We challenge and encourage talent.

Studentsin the Master’s and Doctoral degree programmes acquire academicknowledge and methods and are prepared for ambitious careers – whether they be in academia or research, practical research-based positions, inthe management of a large corporation, in a start-up company, inorganisations, in public administration or in politics. Our demandinggraduate degree programmes give students the ability to come up withsolutions beyond the limitations of their own specialities, to workconstructively with experts from various disciplines and to effectivelyput ideas into action.

The Graduate School also offers innovative degree programmes, which in addition to the acquisition of academic competencies also provide forinterdisciplinary cooperation and experiences with practical relevancein the curriculum. In a clear structure, students can concentrate ontopics in the areas of

> Architecture and Planning
> Entrepreneurship
> Financial Services
> Information Systems

and expand their knowledge.

Students at the Graduate School are involved in the chairs’ current researchtopics and are invited to develop and pose questions independently from the very beginning. For their Master’s thesis, students deal withissues that are important to them, but which are directly related to the research focal points. As doctoral students they are intenselyinvolved in research work and also take on tasks in teaching andresearch management on a smaller scale.

We invite talented young researchers from around the world to apply for a place at the Graduate School. Our programmes are demanding and the work is challenging. However, through intense support from our professors and work in small groups, we especially promote the exchange of ideas and an active academic community.
