The Master's degree programme in Architecture has been awarded the AQAS quality seal.

Master's degree programme in Architecture
The degree programmes in Architecture are structured in Bachelor – Master – Doctorate, according to the internationally accredited Bologna Model. The Bachelor’s degree programme is a first-level professional degree, while the Master’s degree programme allows for further specialization. The Graduate School offers also opportunities for doctoral studies (PhD).

The university's major objective is the development of students' personality, creativity, and individual expression. Theoretical knowledge and practical skills are taught in an integrative approach, aiming to develop critical thinking and enthusiasm for the profession of architecture.

The Master's degree programme in Architecture is structured in three different areas of concentration:

> Architectural Design Theory
> Sustainable Design
> Sustainable Urban Design

These concentrations combine relevant topics, knowledge and skills in order to support theoretical and practical professional work in architecture and planning. All students are required to select an area of concentration prior to entering the master course. The design studio is the core of the study program and is supplemented with three related mandatory subject courses from the chosen concentration. Moreover, students have to take three elective courses from the course offerings of the other two concentrations.

The Institute of Architecture and Planning does host a numerours group of Guest- and Erasmus students each semester. Guest- and Erasmus students should also select an area of concentration . The Institute will do its best to accomodate the student's choice. However, we cannot guarantee a selected placement prior to the beginning of the specific semester. The Director of Graduate Studies in Architecture reserves the right to determine the final placement.
