Business processes are everywhere. Tasks such as booking an airline ticket, developing a new product, or treating a patient can be viewed as processes crossing organizational and technological boundaries. We believe that process thinking in combination with the use of leading-edge IT offers great potentials to continuously improve operations and create breakthrough business innovations.
Consequently, both consultancies as well as industry and service firms are desperately seeking for BPM & IT professionals. The market analysts of Gartner Group, for example, see the improvement of end-to-end business processes is one of the top priorities of today’s Chief Information Officers (CIOs).
While approaches such as Workflow Management, Process Simulation, Lean Management, or Six Sigma are concentrating on specific aspects of a process-oriented management, we view BPM as a unifying paradigm consolidating these and other management and IT concepts.
We equip students with state-of-the-art skills and competencies in BPM. This comprises substantial knowledge in IT, business, and the nexus of the two – IT/business alignment. The programme has been developed in close collaboration with partners from practice and includes numerous opportunities to apply your know-how in challenging real-world projects.
With the Hilti Fellowship and the BPM Career Programme we offer programmes especially designed to combine studying and working in the field of IT and BPM.
The multicultural and interdisciplinary background of our students and the unique setting of our campus in the beautifully located alpine Liechtenstein provide a great atmosphere for exchanging ideas and making your study time here a fruitful learning experience and inspiring food for thought.
We look forward to meeting open-minded, curious, and inspiring people who become actively involved in shaping their study time at the University of Liechtenstein.
