Educational objective

Upon successful completion of the Master`s degree programme, the University of Liechtenstein grants the academic degree of:

Master of Science in Banking and Financial Management (MSc)

Our Master`s programme consciously develops network thinking and teamwork capacity as well as analytical, social and communication skills among its students. Regular team projects challenge and prepare students for the demands of the modern business world. The delivery of methodologies and the completion of research projects are key aspects of this programme.

A strong emphasis is placed on working in small groups, which ensures exceptionally close contact between lecturers and students. The curriculum is designed to prepare students for the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) examinations, an internationally recognized degree in the finance sector. Examination success of our students is substantially above the CFA average.

A completed Master’s degree qualifies a student for a subsequent doctoral degree programme.

After-Work Lectures

The Chair in Business Administration, Banking and Financial Management organizes a series of after-work lectures with professionals of local and national banks and the financial services industry. Generally two after-work-lectures take place per semester.

Banking Award Liechtenstein


Highly innovative Master’s theses of graduates are presented with the Banking Award Liechtenstein of the Liechtenstein Bankers Association.


Workshop Series:  Wednesday Afternoon Science

Students are invited to participate in monthly workshop series, staff members of the two chairs of Prof. Hanke and Prof. Menichetti present and discuss recent research projects with MSc students.
