Christoph Sutter CEO & Chairman, South Pole Carbon Asset Management Ltd

Christoph Sutter is the CEO and Chairman of South Pole Carbon Asset Management Ltd., a Switzerland based carbon project developer focusing on projects with significant contributions to sustainable development.

Christoph has been working on CDM related issues since 1997 and has been a member of the UN CDM Executive Board Methodology Panel for several years. Before co-founding South Pole he was a consultant and carbon finance expert with McKinsey & Company. He holds a Ph.D. in environmental sciences, having written his thesis on CDM sustainability assessment methodologies. 

During the last twelve years, he advised successfully registered CDM projects with a forecasted total of more than 100 million t CO2e until 2012.

The World Economic Forum (WEF) selected Christoph as a Young Global Leader in 2009. The Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship has awarded Christoph Sutter as a Social Entrepreneur in 2011.
