Professional experience abroad
Would you like to do an internship abroad during your course of study at the University of Liechtenstein? Through the EU educational programme ERASMUS, you can work from 3 to 12 months abroad in Europe and gather professional experience.

Erasmus Placement Mobility Grant
The Erasmus Mobility Grant is an additional grant intended to partially cover your costs of living in your guest country; it is not a full grant. If you are interested in an “Erasmus Work Placement”, please follow the procedure below:

  • Please contact Mirjana Matic-Schädler to get more information about the possibilietes of a placement abroad.
  • After this, arrange your placement. Should you already have found a placement, please log-in as a student.
Please first login as student: Login
  • Once a placement has been agreed, please sign the financial agreement with the International Office. Also, write the intermediate and/or final report.
  • The grant will be paid in two installments, depending on the length of your stay. Once the final report has been completed, we will pay you the final installment of your grant.
Grant applications must be sent to the Agency for International Educational Affairs at least one month before the start of your internship.

Position: European Project Assistant - Leonet


Tasks description:

 

Assisting the project manager in the implementation of the projects:

1. General administration of European projects
2. Financial administration of European projects
3. Events organisation (training workshops, information sessions, conferences)
4. Communication English/French with project partners
5. Preparation of marketing material ( e.g. newsletters)
6. Project marketing and promotion : participation in the development of strategies and their implementation
7. Participation in project meetings in Switzerland, and potentially in European project meetings
8. Assisting in the matching and placement of trainees;

9. Other duties as necessary for the smooth running of projects.

We are a young technological startup with a team of 9 dedicated young professionals. We are developing revolutionary printing solutions and innovative business models and would like to expand to other European countries. We are looking for German speaking students which will help us with market analysis and setting up a business model for expansion into other EU countries (Austria being the first target). Your work could, among others, include analyzing the market for printing services, compiling a competitive analysis of the market with lists and SWOT analysis of major potential competitors, setting up a website, testing different sales techniques and providing support in our expansion activities. Your analysis will serve as one of the most important factors in our decision to open a service center in that particular country.

Additionally we are in the process of establishing a new company selling a novelty food item on a worldwide basis. We are looking for Spanish, French, Portuguese and Arabic speaking students to help us in assessing the potential of foreign markets. Your work could, among others, include analyzing the food market, compiling a competitive analysis of the market with lists and SWOT analysis of major potential competitors, setting up a website, testing different sales techniques and providing support in our expansion activities. Your analysis will serve as one of the most important factors in our decision to invest into marketing and sales activities in that particular country.
 
Field of study: Business, International relations, Marketing, Graphic designer, Computer science or related fields.
Requirements: reliability, proactivity, organisation skills, teamwork spirit, being flexible, good knowledge of the Office Pack.
 
Internship may start in September or afterwards and end in 3-12 months. Applications together with a CV and cover letter should be sent to the Company directly. Knowledge of English and at least one of the languages mentioned above is a prerequisite. Working hours: 09:00-16.00 weekdays. Reimbursement of 200-300 euro is available, depending on students qualifications and added value.

Traineeship Computer Vision / Document analysis

Task description

The project in question aims at the extraction of information from photographed whiteboard drawings. Hand-drawn text, connectors, annotations etc. shall act as an input to an existing modelling system .

You should use and improve your computer vision know-how to develop new and/or improve existing analysis algorithms, and measure recognition rates.

Another set of tasks deals with system integration: A small web-based solution for uploading photos, sending to the analysis, gathering collected information and providing feedback to the user.

System environment is based on OpenCV / Linux/MacOSX

Studies: computer sciences

 Specialisation: Computer Vision / pattern recognition

Language skills: very good English skills, basic German skills

Duration: 6 to 9 months

International Relations Coordinator Assistant


Task description:

Tasks associated with the International Relations Office: contact partner institutions (update and prepare new agreements between institutions), processing mobility grants, student Erasmus application processing at regional, national and international level, attending meetings of the International Committee, helping organize visiting teachers’ masterclasses, monitoring and updating databases, responding to student / teachers enquiries by email and letter.

·         Translation of the School Magazine, internal and external documentation and support in the translation of
           material posted on the web.

·         Translation of masterclasses.

·          Language support to teachers and students.

Asked qualifications:

·          Be enrolled in university official studies related to English Studies, Spanish, Translation and

Task description:

-    Creating labels for library materials, cataloguing library materials; maintenance on the library’s computer catalog; organizing and maintaining periodicals; help conduct periodic inventories of book collection; participating in ordering and maintaining supplies and equipment; storing and discarding materials

-    At the circulation desk: loaning and collecting books, periodicals, videotapes, and other materials; assisting users in using various electronic resources; providing reader’s advisory service.
