The Children’s University Liechtenstein was established in January 2005 on the initiative of a highly dedicated Liechtenstein foundation working together with the University of Liechtenstein and “aha” – Tips and Info for Young People (Liechtenstein).
Through the Children’s University Liechtenstein, we offer children between the ages of 8 and 12 the opportunity to become inspired by the world of science and to overcome their inhibitions by taking part in lectures designed especially for them. Science equates with curiosity and asking questions. Children have countless questions, are curious and eager to learn. They explore both everyday and extraordinary questions: Why can’t I do what I want? Why does money exist? Scientific curiosity and a child’s curiosity share a close kinship. Children get answers to these and other questions at the Children’s University.

BEPO – Children's University side programme

Together with the Equal Opportunity Commission of the University of Liechtenstein, parallel events are hosted for adults who bring their girls and boys to Children's University lectures. Adults are given the opportunity to learn more on the topics of education and child-raising. We also take care of our smallest guests: In our

childcare centre, friendly helpers mind children between the ages of 3 and 7 during the events, followed by a joint snack with the young students.
