Executive MBA in Entrepreneurial Management (Continuing Programme)
Philosophy
Entrepreneurial Management is characterised by entrepreneurial thinking and action affecting all levels and processes of an enterprise. It basically deals with constantly identifying innovative business opportunities and implementing them in the market.
The Executive MBA programme in Entrepreneurial Management builds on the integrative Master of Advanced Studies (MAS) in Business Administration and Engineering or Master of Advanced Studies (MAS) in Business Administration. Through the novel combination of Management and Entrepreneurship, an Executive MBA programme has evolved most advantageously combining management know-how and entrepreneurial demands.
Educational Goal
During the course of the Executive MBA in Entrepreneurial Management, participants learn how to successfully solve complex management problems. They deal with decision-making situations in growing enterprises and handle practical problems through the use of integral management models. They learn how to assess the development of enterprises within an economic, legal, political, social and ecological environment in order to gauge the consequences of their strategic actions. Participants learn how to discover new business opportunities and how to take full advantage of the competitive advantage in the market.
Participants
The Executive MBA in Entrepreneurial Management is open to graduates of the Master of Advanced Studies in Business Administration and Business Administration and Engineering having a minimum of 3 years management experience.
Degree
Participants passing all the examinations of the Executive MBA in Entrepreneurial Management course and successfully completing the master’s thesis are awarded the Executive MBA Diploma. The University of Liechtenstein awards the title “Executive MBA in Entrepreneurial Management” upon successful completion of the programme.
Curriculum
The Executive MBA in Entrepreneurial Management is modularly structured and covers the modules growth of innovative enterprises, International Entrepreneurship, Entrepreneurial Finance, change management and leadership.
Tuition
CHF 9'400.-.
Included in the tuition are examination fees but not expenses for teaching materials. Approximately CHF 300.- should be calculated for teaching materials for the whole programme. Where applicable, excursion expenses and accommodation costs are borne by the participants.
Duration of Study
The programme including the master’s thesis lasts two semesters. The master’s thesis is to be completed in the second semester. Lectures are held from 1.30 to 7.30 on Friday afternoon and from 8.00 to 2.00 on Saturday.
Application and Deadlines
Students are accepted who have fulfilled the admission requirements and have
submitted all the application materials and previous academic records on schedule. Admission is determined subsequent to the date of receipt of the application. The programme is conducted conditional on a minimum of 15 applications. A maximum of 24 students per programme are admitted. Subject to availability, interested parties may be admitted to individual modules.
The application process begins with the submission of the application form and the corresponding documents. Application deadline is 15 December.
