Trust Conference
Liechtenstein has had the institution of the trust since 1926, and the trust enterprise since 1928; yet this extremely malleable instrument has lain dormant, despite Liechtenstein being the only continental European style legal system to have such a long tradition of a codified trust law. The popularity of trusts - like that of foundations - depends on the development of global trends and international standards.
For practitioners in Liechtenstein, it is therefore an absolute must to thoroughly examine new developments as well as international trends and standards, in order to remain competitive in the much discussed competition between national legal systems. Such detailed examinations are undertaken at the annual trust conferences.
