Certificate of Advanced Studies in Trust Law

Liechtenstein has had the institution of the trust since 1926, and the trust enterprise since 1928; yet this extremely malleable instrument has lain dormant, despite Liechtenstein being the only continental European style legal system to have such a long tradition of a codified trust law. The popularity of trusts - like that of foundations - depends on the development of global trends and international standards. For practitioners in Liechtenstein, it is therefore an absolute must to thoroughly examine new developments as well as international trends and standards, in order to remain competitive in the much discussed competition between national legal systems.

Educational Goal
During this course, participants will deal with specialised practical content and gain the qualifications required to advise clients in a competent manner. The content includes:
- the basics of Liechtenstein trust law
- the basics of foreign trust laws
- the basics in the field of asset planning and management
- the basics about the taxation of trusts
- the skills to convert the learnt content/theory into practice.

Participants
The Certificate of Advanced Studies in Trust Law is aimed at:
- university graduates with a degree in law or business-related degrees
- university graduates with sufficient experience in trust services
- people with a university entrance certificate or a professional baccalaureate and relevant experience
