Bachelor Winter School on Business Process Management

Content
The BPM Winter School is especially targeted at Bachelor students. You will gain a comprehensive understanding of the contemporary state-of-the-art in Business Process Management (BPM). Classes are taught by BPM thought leaders from both academia and practice. In additional case studies and exercises you practically apply concepts and methods. You are expected to read assigned papers and book chapters before attending the course. Topics covered in the course include:

  • Introduction to BPM
  • Methods along the BPM lifecycle
  • Process-aware information systems
  • Alignment of BPM with corporate strategy
  • Governance of BPM programs and projects
  • Human factors in BPM
  • Culture in BPM

Credits:
Given that your home institution agrees, the course can provide 5 ECTS (you have to pass a written exam at the end of the week). You may also choose to participate as a noncredit student.
Participation Fee
The costs for 5 days of tuition, accommodation (Arrival: Sunday, 26th February; Departure: Friday, 2nd March), meals, and social events are as follows:
  • Early bird registration (until 31st December, 2011): EUR 325
  • Late registration (until 31st January, 2012): EUR 375

Application
The capacities for the BPM Winter School are limited. We therefore ask you to send us a short application with your CV via e-mail to Dr Oliver Müller (). Please note that due to the scope of the Winter School we will give priority to applications from Bachelor students.
Substitute participants
If the registered participant is unable to attend, a substitute will be accepted without additional charge. Any discounts awarded to the registered participant personally will not automatically apply to a substitute participant.
The right to cancel
Registration is contractually binding and an obligation is thereby undertaken to pay the participation fee. Contractual agreements can be withdrawn from in writing within 7 working days without an indication of reasons. This withdrawal period starts upon the reception of the registration confirmation. The timely submission of the withdrawal is sufficient in order to secure the withdrawal period.
