Due to the new framework of company law, special legal training is required, which, in addition to the special features of Liechtenstein company law, also comprises the basics of European and comparative law. Knowledge of the special features in Liechtenstein company law, especially of the new law of foundation, is indispensible for entry into the Liechtenstein market for providing legal consulation. |
By learning the basics of European and comparative law, the participants will, furthermore, be qualified to provide cross-border consulations and they will be able to remain abreast of European law using the knowledge gained and the techniques learnt.
Educational Goal
The degree programme is aimed at university graduates, who would like to acquire a comprehensive and practical additional qualification in the area of company, foundation, and trust law. The participants will acquire both basic and detailed knowledge, which will enable them to offer legal consultations regarding Liechtenstein and international company, foundation, and trust laws, as well as in the relevant interdisciplinary fields. They will in particular represent a qualified pool of forward-looking personnel, without however being dependent on Liechtenstein’s location. Having regard to the Bologna declaration, the Universität Liechtenstein wants to make an active contribution to international occupational mobility in Europe with the Executive Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Company, Foundation, and Trust Law.
Graduation
The participants who are present for at least 75 % of the courses requiring attendance, pass all of the exams, and whose master thesis is accepted will graduate from the “Executive Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Company, Foundation, and Trust Law” degree programme. You will be entitled to use the following title: LL.M. (Company, Foundation, and Trust Law).
