Current Activity
Christian Marxt works as Professor for Technology and Entrepreneurship at the University of Liechtenstein and at ETH Zurich. He is interested in the strategic management of technology oriented enterprises. He focuses on strategies of collaborative innovation and on technology transfer between university and industry. From a more theoretic point of view he investigates build-up of dynamic capabilities in start-up and incumbent companies and looks into innovation from a business model point of view. In 2004 and 2005 he was recognized with best paper awards at two international conferences.

Based on his international network he worked as visiting researcher at the UNSW in Sydney in the area of human factors in collaborative innovation. 2006 he was invited as Visiting Professor in the area of precision innovation and early rapid prototyping to Stanford University and in 2007 he participated in the EECPCL course at Harvard Business School. He is reviewer for several international journals: International Journal of Research in Engineering Design, Journal of Production Economics, R&D Management Journal, and IJITM. He has also gained academic management experience at ETH and as board member of the Engineering und Management Alumni at ETHZ. He is founder of two Swiss based companies.
