Current Activity
Peter Droege has thirty years of experience in the practice, teaching and research of urban planning and design, with a finger on the pulse of major changes in the profession. His special focus on the urban design and planning aspects of major infrastructure changes, in energy and information technology. Since producing the major textbook Intelligent Environments (Elsevier 1998), he has achieved research success as the author and editor of four seminal books on transforming the urban energy system from fossil to renewable: The Renewable City (Wiley 2006) and Urban Energy Transition (Elsevier 2008). Recently released were '100 Percent Renewable - Energy Autonomy in Action' (Earthscan 2009) und 'Climate:Design' (ORO Editions 2010). His teaching, research and goverment advice is strongly informed by the insight he has gained in this work.
