The services offered by the department chair Prof. Dr. Marco Menichetti and his fellow colleagues cover the domain of financial management and banking at the University of Liechtenstein. The employees within the department of business administration, banking and financial management provide instruction for the bachelor’s program in business administration, the master’s program in banking and financial management, the PhD program in business economics as well as for numerous other continuing education programs within the department and the institute (e.g. MBA in wealth management, training courses in asset and fund management). The department chair and his colleagues also oversee various other functions relating to the administration of the school (member of the institute management board and the commissions for research and development, for continuing education, for master’s studies, for doctoral studies).

Prof. Dr. Menichetti established the consecutive master’s program in financial services in 2002; since then, he has continued to develop it further with the support of his colleagues. Within the context of the Graduate School at Universität Liechtenstein, the chair is completely responsible for the master’s program “MSc Banking and Financial Management”.

In addition to their teaching duties, departmental employees are also involved in a number of transfer projects with various companies. The research focus of the Chair lies on selected wealth management issues. Subjects of particular interest include collective capital investments, performance measurement and currency risk management.
