At the Chamber of Public Accountants and Tax Advisors (KWT) Conference in Feldkirch, Professor Martin Wenz and Dr. Patrick Knörzer gave on 17 May 2012 a speech on the topic of “Current developments in taxation of asset structures (foundations, trusts) in Germany, Austria and Liechtenstein”.

At the Chamber of Public Accountants and Tax Advisors (KWT) Conference in Feldkirch, Professor Martin Wenz and Dr. Patrick Knörzer gave on 17 May 2012 a speech on the topic of “Current developments in taxation of asset structures (foundations, trusts) in Germany, Austria and Liechtenstein”.

In their speech, Professor Martin Wenz, who holds the Chair for Tax Management and the Laws of Liechtenstein and International Taxation, and Dr. Patrick Knörzer, assistant professor at the chair, first introduced the challenges that Liechtenstein as a tax location is confronted with, the Liechtenstein tax reform and Liechtenstein’s international tax cooperation. They went on to explain the taxation of foundations and trusts, and their founders/trustees and beneficiaries, in Germany, Austria and Liechtenstein. Professor Martin Wenz and Dr. Patrick Knörzer also focused on the current decisions of the Austrian and German courts, as well as their legal implications in relation to foundations and trusts in Liechtenstein.
