“Current developments in international goods transport”: The Affiliated Institute SME Centre of the University of Liechtenstein invites interested parties to the next event in the Solid SME Knowledge series on 12 December 2012, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

This year, the Solid SME Knowledge series is looking at the current challenges that small and medium-sized enterprises face in various stages of development. The aim of the quarterly series of events is to provide background information and illustrate specific solutions. This actively supports entrepreneurs from the region in going about their everyday business.

Practical tips for SMEs from the region
The current event will look at the issue of “Current developments in international goods transport”. In the first part, Bernard Mähr, Logistics Engineer at NDS and co-organiser of the Export Marketplace, will explain the significance and application of free trade agreements (EFTA, EEA and bilateral agreements), taking into consideration the specifications for small and medium-sized companies in the region. In the second part, Karin Biedermann, Swiss-certified export expert, will outline the specific requirements for the formally correct export of goods based on practical examples. She will also refer to the mandatory IT system, which will come into force on 1 January 2013 and replace forms 11.010 and 11.030. The processing of import and export customs notifications is then handled by transport companies or via the e-dec Web platform. A practical example will be used to explain online customs notification via e-dec Web.
