It is now the beginning of the new academic year at the University of Liechtenstein. Out of a record number of nearly 700 applicants, more than 200 new students were chosen to pursue the Bachelor’s, Master’s and doctoral degree programmes.

The clear focus on quality, combined with a rising level of awareness of the still young university, is responsible for this distinct increase in the number of applicants and new students in comparison to previous years.

For the 2013/2014 academic year, more than 200 new students from Liechtenstein, the region and all around the world have successfully enrolled. The University of Liechtenstein is steadily developing to become a renowned centre of higher education. As such, it offers attractive opportunities for study in the heart of Europe.

Sought-after professionals for the region

Through the education of young people in the fields of architecture and planning, entrepreneurship, financial services as well as information systems, the University of Liechtenstein functions as an innovative think tank in the border region between Liechtenstein, Eastern Switzerland, Vorarlberg and the Lake Constance region in Southern Germany. Offering a wide range of projects and programmes with high practical relevance, the university provides impetus for the economy, politics and society in general.

Most graduates of the University of Liechtenstein go on to take up employment in Liechtenstein or in the region, for instance at regionally based international companies. This way, upon conclusion of their studies, they stand to make a substantial contribution towards the creation of value in, as well as the innovative strength of, the region.
