Milestone in cooperation between the Universities of Liechtenstein and Zurich

In March 2020, the University of Liechtenstein and the University of Zurich sealed the basis for cooperation in the field of law in a letter of intent. Starting with the upcoming winter semester 2022/2023, the regulated exchange of modules in the field of law can now take place.

"After years of successfully establishing the field of law in continuing education, we can take another important step in consecutive teaching in the field of law with the mobility program that has now been sealed, following the successful introduction of the doctoral program 'Law of Financial Services'," Ass.-Prof. Dr. Alexandra Butterstein, LL.M., Head of the Institute of Business Law and designated Dean of the future School of Business Law, is pleased to announce.
A letter of intent was signed between the partner universities in March 2020, which has been realized with the current agreement on regulated module mobility. The intensified cooperation between the University of Liechtenstein and the University of Zurich is also another important milestone on the way to the planned joint Master's program.
The agreement was signed on behalf of the University of Zurich by Rector Prof. Dr. Michael Schaepman and Dean of the Faculty of Law Dr. Thomas Gächter, and on behalf of the University of Liechtenstein by Rector Mag. Markus Jäger and Ass.-Prof. Dr. Alexandra Butterstein.
Dr. Klaus Tschütscher summarizes the successful conclusion: "As President of the University Council, it is a particular pleasure for me that the field of law is steadily developing - especially in view of the start of the School of Business Law in January 2023. With this intensified partnership between Zurich and Vaduz, our students are offered new opportunities."
