As an ISCN Member, the University of Liechtenstein took the opportunity to share the University Green Organisation (uniGO/SAPBM) project cluster and other examples of our campus sustainability work  to further the dialogue among an international audience of top leaders.

Peter Droege, Professor of Sustainable Spatial Development, spoke for uniGO/SABPM coauthors Professors Stefan Seidel and Jan vom Brocke when he stated that 'Universities can be models and leaders in their communities, insipring and learning from best sustainability practice, in the local area, country and across borders.'

The
ISCNprovides a global forum to support leading colleges, universities, and corporate campuses in the exchange of information, ideas, and best practices for achieving sustainable campus operations and integrating sustainability in research and teaching.

Five years ago, the ISCN partnered with GULF, bringing together the heads of 26 top global universities, to develop the ISCN-GULF Sustainable Campus Charter.  Organized into 3 core principles, the Charter requires a commitment at the highest level of the institution, and includes annual reporting on sustainability goals, initiatives, and performance. To date, presidents of more than 65 schools have endorsed the Charter.
