University of Liechtenstein at the Handelsblatt conference in Frankfurt/M

On 22 October 2012, the Handelsblatt conference on the topic of “Liechtenstein financial centre – funds and management location in accordance with AIFM Directive?” in Frankfurt am Main. Professor Martin Wenz and Professor Dirk A. Zetzsche from the University of Liechtenstein spoke about fiscal and legal framework conditions.

On 22 October 2012, the Handelsblatt conference on the topic of “Liechtenstein financial centre – funds and management location in accordance with AIFM Directive?” in Frankfurt am Main. Professor Martin Wenz and Professor Dirk A. Zetzsche from the University of Liechtenstein spoke about fiscal and legal framework conditions. 


Professor Martin Wenz, who holds the Chair for Tax Management and the Laws of Liechtenstein and International Taxation at the University of Liechtenstein, spoke about cross-border taxation of investments and investment vehicles. He discussed international tax cooperation through DTAs, TIEAs and other tax agreements, as well as the taxation of investments and Liechtenstein investment vehicles such as foundations, trusts, funds and life insurance companies. 

Professor Dirk A. Zetzsche, who holds the Propter Homines Chair for Banking and Securities Law at the University of Liechtenstein, spoke about the law on the implementation of the AIFM Directive and regulatory consequences. In his speech, he outlined the background and explored the objectives of the law, as well as possible courses of action.
