The Liechtenstein Economic Institute (KOFL) is to hold its 9th annual Liechtenstein Business Cycle Conference at the University of Liechtenstein. The symposium will be held on Friday, 1 March 2013, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The Liechtenstein Economic Institute (KOFL) is to hold its 9th annual Liechtenstein Business Cycle Conference at the University of Liechtenstein. The symposium will be held on Friday, 1 March 2013, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.


First, Professor Carsten-Henning Schlag, Head of the Affiliated Institute: Liechtenstein Economic Institute (KOFL) at the University of Liechtenstein, will present the current KOFL business cycle and growth analysis for the Liechtenstein economy. 

In the second part of the event, visiting speaker Professor Christian Keuschnigg, Director of the Institute for Advanced Studies (IHS) in Vienna and Professor of Public Economics (with a focus on Public Finance) at the University of St. Gallen, will deliver a speech on the current economic question “What kind of financial and economic policies does Europe need?” 


At the 2013 Liechtenstein Business Cycle Conference, Professor Christian Keuschnigg, Professor of Public Economics at the University of St. Gallen, will deliver a speech on financial and economic policies in Europe.

In subsequent discussions and at the following drinks reception, participants will be given the opportunity to talk in greater detail to the KOFL expert and the visiting speaker about the topics at hand. Attendance at the event is free. Participants are requested to register at www.kofl.li by 25 February 2013.

Centre of expertise for in-depth consultation
The Affiliated Institute: Liechtenstein Economic Institute (KOFL) was created in May 2004 as a centre of expertise for economic issues relating to the Principality of Liechtenstein. It is an institute for economics, which focuses on research, forecasts and consulting services, advising decision-makers in the private and public sectors. Its projects include an annual business cycle forecast for Liechtenstein and the compilation of a quarterly report on the international economy.
