Current compliance developments in the context of Liechtenstein and international requirements.

The Compliance Day 2020 of the Institute for Business Law at the University of Liechtenstein highlights the latest developments in compliance and the fight against money laundering. This year, the first part of the morning program focuses on two highly topical issues for Liechtenstein: "Gold from a compliance perspective" and the implementation of the "risk-based approach".

Subsequently, the focus is on digitization in compliance and a discussion of compliance on the block chain and in the context of crypto funds will take place. The morning program will conclude with a panel discussion chaired by Prof. Dr. Nicolas Raschauer. Participants will have the opportunity to deepen the topics by asking individual questions.

The compliance framework is also shaped by cultural and international developments. Currently, brexit is not only changing the political and economic interdependencies between mainland Europe and the UK, but also has an impact on compliance. Therefore, the afternoon program starts with an analysis of the compliance culture and then ventures a look beyond the borders of Liechtenstein.
In the final part of the conference, special attention will again be paid to the important topic of combating money laundering. In particular, current legislative developments in the area of the money laundering and the list of beneficial owners will be discussed.

Compliance officers in banks, insurance companies, funds and other financial service providers, lawyers, trustees, auditors, employees of administrative authorities as well as commercial and industrial companies who are interested in a well-founded further training in the area of compliance and have to do with it in their everyday professional life at present or in the future.
