Current compliance developments

The Compliance Day 2021 at the University of Liechtenstein, organized by the Chair of Company, Foundation and Trust Law, annually highlights current developments in compliance and this year will have a special focus on whistleblowing as well as developments in the fight against money laundering. Due to Covid 19, this year's Compliance Day will be held as a virtual half-day event.

In the first block, particular attention will be paid to the independence and factual requirements of the compliance function, with anti-corruption likewise being highlighted.

After the question and answer session and a short coffee break, the second block of the conference will focus on whistleblowing. It will be shown what protection whistleblowers are entitled to and what developments result from the EU Whistleblower Directive at European and national level. Participants will also have the opportunity to ask individual questions about this exciting topic.

In the third and final block, experts will address current topics in due diligence law from their practical experience. Among other things, current developments in compliance with international standards in the fight against money laundering and in regulation will be addressed.

Target Audience

Compliance officers in banks, insurance companies, funds and other financial service providers, lawyers, trustees, auditors, employees of administrative authorities as well as commercial and industrial companies who are interested in a well-founded further training in the area of compliance and have to do with it in their everyday professional life at present or in the future.
