EU Project on BPM

Developing New Horizons for Business Process Management

The Institute of Information Systems participates in one of the first Horizon projects of the EU. Together with partners from the European Research Center for Information Systems (ERCIS) at the University of Muenster, a research project could be successfully acquired. The project focuses on Business Process Management (BPM), a highly important theme for the Liechtenstein region. It involves leading research partners from Europe, USA, and Australia. The project objective is to foster networking between world-leading research institutions and companies to develop new horizons for BPM. Process management, as a boundary-spanning discipline, focuses on the division and re-integration of work in organisations and data analysis to support organisational decision-making. The project group will analyse the role of technology enablers in BPM, such as social media, smart devices and real-time computing, and big data technology.
