On the first two days, the students visited the University of Hong Kong, Baker & McKenzie, Deloitte, LGT Investment Management (Asia) as well as Hong Kong’s government offices. They then continued their trip to Singapore, where they visited the National University of Singapore, LGT Bank, VP Bank and UBS Trustees.

In Hong Kong and Singapore, talks about the applicable national and international tax laws were held. The students gained an overview of the taxation of natural and legal persons, holding and financing companies, foundations, trusts, life insurance companies, investment funds and financial instruments. In addition, international tax cooperation and the double taxation treaties of Hong Kong and Singapore were explained. The students also had the opportunity to discuss cross-border asset management and tax planning strategies with local experts.
