Start with Erasmus Mundus
The first five visiting students from the People’s Republic of China came to study in Liechtenstein in the 2008/2009 summer semester as part of the Erasmus Mundus programme. At the time, the programme laid the foundations for a partnership in the area of architecture with the renowned Tongji University in Shanghai, and the first partner universities also included Sichuan University. The winter semester of 2009/2010 saw visits by a further nine visiting students from renowned universities such as Beijing’s Renmin University, Harbin Institute of Technology and Shanxi University.

Lively exchange to continue
On his visit to the University of Liechtenstein, Consul General Liang Jianquan emphasized his great interest in further partnerships, including in the various disciplines of economics. In June, a group of approximately 25 students from the Master’s degree programme in Entrepreneurship will continue the lively exchange with China and travel there to visit various companies and cultural locations.
