Outstanding academic achievements as part of their thesis projects: On 29 November 2012, four graduates from the Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes in the area of banking and finance at the University of Liechtenstein will be honoured with the coveted Banking Award 2012.

Outstanding academic achievements as part of their thesis projects: On 29 November 2012, four graduates from the Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes in the area of banking and finance at the University of Liechtenstein will be honoured with the coveted Banking Award 2012.

In 2012, the Liechtenstein Bankers Association and the Institute for Financial Services of the University of Liechtenstein will once again invite interested parties to the prize-giving ceremony for the Banking Award Liechtenstein. At the awards ceremony on Thursday, 29 November 2012, the dissertations from the Master’s degree programme in Banking and Financial Management and the Bachelor’s degree programme in Business Administration with the focus area International Financial Services will be awarded following nominations from a four-strong jury. The event will take place in the auditorium of the University of Liechtenstein in Vaduz, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Formal awards ceremony

Professor Thomas Druyen from the Institute for Science of Ethical Wealth and Wealth Psychology at the Sigmund Freud University in Vienna will be delivering this year’s keynote speech. The speech by the leading German asset researcher is called “Culture of asset wealth – influence of social developments on private banking”. Simon Tribelhorn (lic. iur. HSG), Director of the Liechtenstein Bankers Association, will then hand over the prizes to the winners of the Banking Award 2012. The laudatory speech for the prizewinners will be given by Professor Marco Menichetti from the Chair in Business Administration, Banking and Financial Management at the University of Liechtenstein. After the speeches, a drinks reception will be held, where there will be ample opportunities to exchange thoughts and ideas.


The four winners of the Banking Award 2011 with Professor Michael Hanke (Chair in Finance), lic. iur. HSG Simon Tribelhorn (Director of the Liechtenstein Bankers Association), Professor Hans-Peter Burghof (Chair of Banking and Financial Services at the University of Hohenheim) with Professor Marco Menichetti (Chair in Business Administration, Banking and Financial Management) and Adolf E. Real (Chairman of the Liechtenstein Bankers Association).
