In the seminar “Terra Incognita: the East-West Development of Tax Systems” on 24 June 2011 at the University of Ferrara in Italy, Professor Martin Wenz gave a speech on the Liechtenstein tax reform.

In the seminar “Terra Incognita: the East-West Development of Tax Systems” on 24 June 2011 at the University of Ferrara in Italy, Professor Martin Wenz gave a speech on the Liechtenstein tax reform. In his presentation, he first introduced the old Liechtenstein tax system, and then spoke about Liechtenstein’s tax strategy and the limiting factors and challenges for the Liechtenstein location. Furthermore, Professor Martin Wenz explained the taxation of individuals and legal entities as well as asset management structures after the tax reform. To close, he gave an overview of the Liechtenstein Convention Policy.

The seminar was organized by the Faculty of Law at the University of Ferrara, and supported by the Italian Ministry of Education and the University of Ferrara’s Special Fund for International Initiatives. The aim of the event was to investigate and compare current developments in the tax laws of various states.
