Following the University of Liechtenstein’s participation in the 2013 slowUp, the recently founded AG Mobilität is planning a new event as part of the uniGO activities. On Wednesday, 22 May, and Thursday, 23 May 2013, the campus will host action days for the promotion of sustainable mobility.

From 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on each of the two days, students, lecturers and staff members at the University of Liechtenstein can look forward to a programme of events at the mobility information stand in the university’s foyer:

• Mobility café from 7.30 a.m. to 9.30 a.m. – a welcome breakfast for all practitioners of, and interested parties for, green mobility
• Information on sustainable mobility and car-sharing associations with contact partners from LIEmobil
• Prize draw for 10 × CHF 50 vouchers to support green mobility
• Introduction of hire umbrellas
• Information on, and registration for, the Mobility Month – a summer campaign in June with attractive prizes

A collaboration between AG Mobilität, the initiative uniGO and the “Spinnerei” student office.

The university as an open-air gym

The AG Mobilität team (Maria Rutzmoser, Richard Schmuck and Michael Weiser) have already achieved some great things in the area of sustainable mobility: since the beginning of May 2013, the University of Liechtenstein has use of the showers at the Spoerry site on the campus. These facilities are open daily from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m., so that staff and students can travel to the university by bike and then freshen up on site for the working day ahead, in accordance with the motto “Good for you, good for the environment”. Additional information is available at richard.schmuck@uni.li  or from the sports office at Weitere Informationen unter richard.schmuck@uni.li oder im Sportbüro unter gregor.diehr@uni.li.

What to expect from Mobility Month

At the University of Liechtenstein, June 2013 will be dedicated to sustainable mobility. Under the motto “MoMo – Go Green”, the university will host a mobility competition in which all staff and students are invited to participate.
