Business Process Management (BPM) is one of the key challenges for any organization. In the age of digitization, especially, IT plays an important role in the advancement of business processes. Against this background, the Institute of Information Systems at the University of Liechtenstein is hosting the European BPM Round Table in Liechtenstein on 15 May 2014.

The European BPM Round Table was first held in 2013 in Eindhoven, in the Netherlands, and received very positive feedback. In the future, the event, which represents a consortium of over 20 national round tables from all over Europe, will be organized by a different university each year. In May 2014, the team from the Institute of Information Systems will have the honour of hosting the event in Liechtenstein and look forward to welcoming international experts from the worlds of academia and business to the principality.

Sharing experiences of current trends

The main focus and theme of the May 2014 event will be “Business Process Management – Driving Innovation in a Digital World”. Renowned BPM experts from all over the world, such as Professor Wil van der Aalst from Eindhoven University of Technology and Professor Jan Mendling from Vienna University of Economics and Business, will examine the theme from different perspectives. The event will provide an ideal opportunity for business representatives, researchers and administrators to share knowledge and experiences, as well as the chance to discuss current trends in the area of business process management.

The European BPM Round Table is supported by Hilti AG, Swarovski AG and Camelot ITLab GmbH. Registration for the 2nd European BPM Round Table is already open at www.bpm-roundtable.eu. Entry is free.
