On 29 January 2015 Rector Klaus Näscher together with Professor  Stefan Güldenberg, holder of the University of Liechtenstein’s Chair of International Management, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Liechtenstein-based foundation ‘Football is more’, represented by its President, the longstanding Rector of the German Sport University of Cologne Professor Walter Tokarski, and the Managing Director of FIM Hanspeter Rothmund.

The partners agreed to cooperate on selected joint projects in the field of Corporate Social Responsibility and to work for ethically correct corporate management in research, teaching and knowledge transfer.

The first concrete measures agreed were a scientific study of the relative importance of CSR activities in professional football and the hosting of a joint forum, to be held on 1-2 October 2015.

Further projects, like the foundation of an Academy for Football Development Assistants, are also being planned.
