Lehrmethoden

The module consists of a seminar where students learn how to write a master’s thesis exposé. Students receive guidance as to how to translate their research ideas or interests into well-formulated research questions of theoretical and practical relevance in the field of IS.

The e-learning platform Moodle will be used throughout the course for the dissemination of course material and discussions.

Students will be assigned to supervisors with similar research interests. All faculty members will introduce their research areas during the first lecture. In the course of writing the exposé, students will benefit from individual supervision, nevertheless independence and initiative are expected from them and have impacts on the overall assessment.

Generally, each supervisor allocates three appointment slots for each student to discuss the research progress. Exceptions are rare and must be approved by all involved parties.
