The Institute of Information Systems at the University of Liechtenstein is pleased to announce the following vacancy:


Assistant Professor of Information Systems and Business Process Management (BPM)


The open position is located at the Hilti Chair of BPM held by Professor Jan vom Brocke. Both research and teaching at the Hilti Chair focus on the design and application of information systems, with a particular emphasis on BPM as a means to understand, analyze, design, evaluate, and improve socio-technical work systems.


We are looking for individuals with a Ph.D. in Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, or from closely related disciplines, a proven track record of research at international standards, and teaching experience.


You are expected to develop and drive relevant research agendas, to publish in international top journals, to collaborate in international academic networks, to actively contribute to the acquisition of funding for research projects, to collaborate with industry partners, and to teach IS and BPM courses at the undergraduate and graduate level. You are highly motivated, you have experience in the rigorous application of theories and empirical research methods, and you want to contribute to shaping the future directions of our BPM group.

The assistant professor vacancy is a position with an initial appointment for 3 years and the possibility for extension for another 2 years. Successful candidates are provided the opportunity to qualify for associate and full professorship, subject to further evaluation and selection processes. Knowledge of German language is not essential, but candidates are expected to learn German from the outset of enrollment.
