- Markus Weinmann ist Assistenzprofessor am Institut für Wirtschaftsinformatik. Er hat an der Technischen Universität Braunschweig promoviert und war als Gastforscher an verschiedenen Universitäten tätig, darunter die City University of Hong Kong und die Queensland University of Technology.
Seine Forschungsergebnisse wurden in führenden Fachzeitschriften publiziert (z.B. im MIS Quarterly), mit renommierten Preisen ausgezeichnet (z.B. dem European Research Paper of the Year) und von internationalen Medien vorgestellt (z.B. The Wall Street Journal und Der Spiegel) (Akademischer CV).
Forschung
Markus Weinmann forscht und lehrt im Bereich „Digital Economy“, insbesondere zum Entscheidungsverhalten von Nutzern auf digitalen Plattformen. Anwendungsgebiete umfassen Crowdfunding (z.B. Kickstarter), Crowdsourcing (z.B. Transfermarkt) oder Online Ratings (z.B. TripAdvisor).
