- Dr. Michael P. Burch, COO at BlackRock Asset Management Switzerland
Prior to joining BlackRock in 2016, Mr. Burch was Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Kleinwort Benson Bank Limited in London and the Channel Islands. He was a member of the management team, being responsible for IT, Operations, Vendor Management, Business Continuity Planning (BCP), Property, Marketing and Communication. In this function, Mr. Burch was regulated by the FCA under the Senior Management Regime. Mr Burch was also Managing Director and Head of Strategy at BHF Kleinwort Benson Group, being in charge of acquisitions, strategic investors / partnerships and operational excellence across the group.
He started his career at The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) where he was a Principal, focusing on Strategy, M&A and Cost in the Financial Services industry. During his seven years with BCG, Mr. Burch worked for a number of international Financial Services Institutions. He also spent two years in the United States, working for BCG in New York.
Mr. Burch holds a PhD in International Business and a MBA from University of St. Gallen (HSG).
