Content

Trust law has special importance in Liechtenstein due its long tradition. As the trust has its origins in the common law world, it is of immense importance for practitioners in Liechtenstein's financial centre to deal in depth with international developments and innovations in the trust law, in order to remain competitive.

At the 36th Jurisdiction Symposium, focus will be placed on current case law in trust matters in England and other common law jurisdictions. Due to the limited number of decisions in Liechtenstein, it is of utmost importance for the purposes of legal certainty that foreign case law in trust matters is used by the courts to examine and resolve unsettled legal questions. Since such case law is generally paid due attention in Liechtenstein trust law, the speaker of the day, Mr lic. iur. Filippo Noseda, LL.M. (LSE), Partner at Withers LLP in London, will provide an overview of the latest case law from England and Wales and other selected jurisdictions. At this event, practitioners in Liechtenstein's financial centre will be presented possible solutions to trust law issues, which may aid them in their daily work.

Target Audience

Lawyers, trustees, financial auditors, judges, public prosecutors, employees in banks, insurance companies and financial service providers, legal academics as well as anyone interested in current case law.
