Content

Asset Management - Liability of the Foundation's Bodies - Beneficiary Rights - Philanthropy - Money Laundering Prevention

The programme begins with the current developments in Liechtenstein foundation law and a comparison with Austria, or rather with the reform proposals in Austrian foundation law. Part of the morning programme comprises also a lecture on the jurisdictions of foundation law in the Common Law judicial area.

The afternoon programme is divided into three thematic groups and will start with a detailed discussion of specific procedural and liability issues. Topics to be discussed there include: unilateral arbitration clauses in foundation statutes, retrocessions, as well as the minimization of liability in case of foundation investments. After the panel discussion the second part of the afternoon programme will be devoted to philanthropy and sustainability of asset investments. Last but not least, an insight into the implementation of the Money Laundering Directive and its importance for Liechtenstein foundations will round off the programme.

In the subsequent panel discussion participants will once again have the opportunity to ask the speakers questions arising in practice.
