The 43rd Jurisdiction Symposium deals with the newest developments in the area of arbitration in Liechtenstein. The Austrian Supreme Court's newest case law that is relevant for Liechtenstein will be hereby presented. Emphasis will be laid on issues such as the validity of the arbitration agreement, the partiality of arbitrators, as well as the organisation of arbitration proceedings. Moreover, the Symposium will deal with the reform of § 634 of the Code of Civil Procedure (arbitration agreement with consumers) in connection with arbitration in matters related to foundations.

The speaker, Hon. Prof. Dr. Dietmar Czernich, is a lawyer in Innsbruck and an honorary professor at the University of Innsbruck. He is the author of numerous publications on Austrian and international Arbitration Law.

Dietmar Czernich is fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (London) and he is active at home and abroad as arbitrator. He is member of the list of arbitrators of the Vienna Arbitration Centre, of the International Chamber of Commerce (Paris), of the Dubai International Arbitration Centre and of the London Court of International Arbitration.
