Reuse & Upcycle as a Design Principle in Architecture

back to overview

Symposium

Date

08.11.2018, Do 13.30 - 17.30 Uhr
Auditorium, Universität Liechtenstein

Content

One of the biggest challenges of our time is the sustainable and qualitative renewal of the built environment. While building stock is still growing, natural resources are dwindling. Further consumption of finite raw materials needs to become the exception, while the reuse of man-made resources must become the rule. The qualitative assessment and judicious enhancement of existing constructions and materials will play a central role in the education and work of future architects. We want to expand the discussion to include a number of outstanding positions from practice and research in the field of reuse and upcycle.
