Extensive changes from 1.10.2019
On 1st October 2019 an important reform of Liechtenstein penal law enters into force. The penal code amendment aims on the one hand to adjust the level of penalties for various offences and to extend existing offences and on the other hand to introduce new offences in order to be able to react appropriately to contemporary phenomena.
Mag. iur. Harald Oberdorfer, legal officer at the Department of Justice, will discuss the background to the forthcoming penal code amendment from the point of view of the administration.
Attorney MMMag. Dr. Franz Josef Giesinger, President of the Association of Liechtenstein Criminal Defenders, will give you an informative synopsis of the main new features of criminal law.
