Description

Company:
This is an internal project, guided by Prof. Dr. Marco Menichetti

Project Goals:
The goal of this project is to prepare a white paper on an international overview on
responsible investment-related public policy initiatives and their implication on investment
decisions, either already observable or expected.
The paper could be structured along public policy institutions (European Union,
supranational financial market authorities or specific nations), along categories of financial
market institutions being the object of the regulation (asset managers, pension funds, banks,
insurance undertakings etc.), or according to financial market instruments which will be
regulated (bonds, stocks, investment undertaking etc.).
This white paper will not only provide an international overview on the current situation of
realized or upcoming regulation to support the increase of environmental and social
investments, but also the related objectives, weaknesses and challenges of the current
public policy initiatives.
Students will receive a good basis for a thesis project in the field of sustainable investments
and earn a specific knowledge helpful for job interviews for companies interested in
establishing activities in this field.

Literature:
Relevant literature consists mainly of different types of papers and directives of public policy
institutions.
