Centre of competence for in-depth consultation
The Liechtenstein Institute for Business Cycle Research (KOFL) was created in May 2004 as a centre of expertise for economic issues relating to the Principality of Liechtenstein. It is an institute of economic research, forecast and consultation with a macroeconomic orientation, and advises decision-makers in the public and private sector on the basis of in-depth macroeconomic, economic policy and fiscal analyses. Through its analyses, the KOFL provides guidance in an increasingly complex economic environment. Specific projects are defined as part of a service level agreement with the Principality of Liechtenstein, and include an annual economic forecast for Liechtenstein, the organization of the Liechtenstein Business Cycle Conference, the development and maintenance of the KOFL Liechtenstein Data Portal and the production of a quarterly report on the international economy (Liechtensteiner Wirtschaftsbrief).
