“AL Magazine” is celebrating the release of its 10th edition with a review: On Wednesday, 26 October 2011, the Institute of Architecture and Planning invites to a vernissage in the foyer of the University of Liechtenstein. A retrospective will be honouring AL Magazine’s 10 editions, including the original illustrations.

This year, the editorial team, headed by Peter Staub and Cornelia Faisst, will be issuing the 10th edition of AL Magazine. On this occasion, the “I have a dream” exhibition will be opened at the University of Liechtenstein, presenting a review of all the editions of AL Magazine that have been published so far. The vernissage will be held in the foyer of the University of Liechtenstein on 26 October 2011, at 5 p.m. The exhibition will be open until 11 November 2011. Further information is available at www.uni.li, under “Architecture and Planning”, or from AL Magazine’s Facebook page.

One exhibition – two celebrations
With its 10th edition, AL Magazine is also celebrating a second occasion. In 1961, exactly 50 years ago, the foundation of the now University of Liechtenstein was laid with the opening of the Abendtechnikum Vaduz. For its 10th edition, the AL Magazine team was thus supported by guest editor Hansjörg Hilti, Vice-Rector and long-standing Head of the Institute of Architecture and Planning, to illustrate the exciting and rapid development from different perspectives.

Original illustrations by Anna Hilti
In addition to all 10 editions of AL Magazine, the exhibition will also focus on the illustrations by Anna Hilti, who lives and works as an illustrator in Zurich and Berlin, and on the graphic designs by Cornelia Wolf, who works for up! consulting in Ruggell. During the vernissage, the 10th edition will be issued, which is also entitled “I have a dream”. In the last few years, Peter Staub and Cornelia Faisst, together with their team, have published editions of AL Magazine covering topics such as “Mobile Utopias”, “Der Berg ruft!” or “Made in China – produziert in Liechtenstein”, which have also frequently featured views and opinions from experts, lecturers and students from the University of Liechtenstein.
