"Architecture and Urban Design" - University of Liechtenstein strengthens core topics of spatial development and sustainability

As of January 1, 2023, Michael Wagner has become Professor of Architecture and Urban Planning at the Liechtenstein School of Architecture. With this appointment, the University of Liechtenstein is expanding its core topics, especially in the areas of design and planning in the Alpine Rhine Valley.

Michael Wagner prevailed in a competitive appointment process against solid international applicants. The appointment committee was particularly impressed by his forward-looking, sustainability-oriented research experience, practice-oriented teaching approaches, enthusiastic demeanor, and proven high level of competence in teaching.
In recent years, Michael Wagner has taught at the University of Liechtenstein and ETH Zurich, among others, where he led the research focus on cultural landscapes at the professorship of Kees Christiaanse from 2012 to 2018. Since 2018, he has been a lecturer in urban design at the Department of Architecture at ETH Zurich. Together with Raphael Vanzella, he has been running his office for architecture and urban design since 2013.
