The increasingly complex business relationships between international companies and private investors prove to be a major challenge for international tax planning practices. Thus, high demands are placed on professionals active in the field of cross-border consulting.

Ideal introduction to continuing education in taxation
The Chair for Tax Management and the Laws of Liechtenstein and International Taxation at the University of Liechtenstein has been offering continuing education programmes and events for several years, to provide interested parties with the opportunity of gaining in-depth expert knowledge in this area. The Certificate of Advanced Studies in National and International Taxation has proved to be an ideal stepping stone. The programme, which lasts one semester, provides the participants with basic expert knowledge of national, international and European tax planning, especially in relation to asset structures and financial instruments, in a practice-oriented way.

Formal award ceremony
Last Tuesday, 33 students from Liechtenstein, Germany, Austria and Switzerland participated in the formal award ceremony. On behalf of the University of Liechtenstein, Professor Martin Wenz, head of the Institute for Financial Services, presented the graduates with their certificates, wishing them all the best for their future careers.

From September 2012, an in-depth continuing education programme in the form of the Executive Master of Laws (LL. M.) in International Taxation will be offered. Information about the degree programme and registration: www.uni.li/llm.
