Bernd Schenk appointed senior lecturer of the University of Liechtenstein


Dr. Bernd Schenk, Institute of Information Systems, has been appointed a senior lecturer of the University of Liechtenstein.

Dr. Bernd Schenk, Institute of Information Systems, has been appointed a senior lecturer of the University of Liechtenstein.

Dr. Bernd Schenk has been appointed a senior lecturer in the field of information systems. By this appointment he will intensify his contributions in the ongoing lectures in the bachelor programs information systems / business administration and the master program business process engineering.

The appointment process as a senior lecturer involves many phases of evaluation and discussion by the executive board which formulates a proposal to the university council. The university council then decides about the appointment based on his independent expertise.

Dr. Schenk combines several years of experience in the field of ERP systems in both praxis and academia. His doctoral thesis has been written on the topic of SOA-based ERP systems. Furthermore he served as a consultant for pre-packaged solutions, especially SAP systems with an international consulting company. Togehter with his colleagues from the institute of information systems work on these topics has been published on several international conferences.

Bernd Schenk is the head of the competence center ERP at the institute of information systems. Based on his contribution the internationally acknowledged certification program SAP-TERP10 for Students could be offered by the institute as one of the first institutions in the alpine region of Switzerland, Austria, and Liechtenstein.

Beside his activities in research and education Bernd Schenk is head of operations at the institute of information systems. As executive director he is responsible for the master program “Business Process Engineering” at our graduate school.
