Institute of Information Systems: Teaching 2013/2014

Enlosed you'll find the teaching highlights of the academic year 2013/2014 of the Institute of Information Systems such as the participation at the SAP TechEd in Las Vegas or at the CeBIT in Hannover.

 

The final of the famous Accenture Campus Challenge took place in Zurich on 16 May 2014. Students from the BA Business Management course of the University of Liechtenstein were victorious against fellow-contenders coming from all over Switzerland.

From 27 February to 22 March, a team of 22 students on the MA course in IT & Business Process Management of University of Liechtenstein carried out a joint project with the destination Davos Klosters. The project was based in Davos.

At the invitation of the SAP University Alliance, four students of the MA course in IT and Business Process Management of University of Liechtenstein had the opportunity attending the world’s biggest trade fair for information technology, the CeBIT in Hannover.

From 2 to 7 March 2014 the Institute of Information Systems hosted its BPM Winter School at the University of Liechtenstein for the third time. 24 students from all over Europe took advantage of the opportunity of experiencing Business Process Management in theory and practice on a course lasting a week.

24 January saw the concluding presentation of a virtual seminar at the University of Liechtenstein in which seven universities from all over the world took part. Nineteen students in their third semester on the MA course in IT & Business Process Management developed concrete ideas for the workplace of the future in conjunction with international colleagues.

At the invitation of the SAP University Alliance, afour students of the University of Liechtenstein had the opportunity of attending the world’s leading conference for SAP architects, administrators and developers in Las Vegas. The Liechtenstein team had qualified in a competition organised by SAP and Hilti.

The Association for Information Systems (AIS), the global organisation for the discipline of information systems, has chosen Professor Jan vom Brocke, holder of the Hilti Chair for Business Process Management (BPM) at the University of Liechtenstein, to receive the AIS Award for Innovation in Teaching.
